Two Medical Teams... One Mission

Care for children who otherwise would never receive it.

Money raised today will help offset cost for the following two medical missions that MKI has already made a commitment to sponsor this year. Both of these medical missions are similar in that the teams of doctors are traveling into areas of the countries where children have never received medical care. From these trips, doctors provide full physicals, blood test and urine sample test to screen for more serious diseases. Both the Guatemalan team as well as the Mexican team work with local health care providers to refer children for more specialized treatments or for management of chronic diseases. And when they identify children in need of surgery that is not available in their own country, they refer them to MKI's incoming kids program. Children as well as their families also receive much needed vitamins and hygiene products. In Tijuana, the team also provides food and clothing.
