2016 #GIVINGTUESDAY FOCUS:

US HOMETOWN MISSIONS

For more than ten years, Mending Kids has provided surgeries for kids around the world, including in the United States. Our US Hometown Mission was created to care for uninsured and underinsured children in Los Angeles County. On one summer Saturday each year, eight surgical teams convene to donate their time and expertise to mend 20+ children with diagnoses ranging from keloids, to webbed hands, to common benign tumors and more.

The success and impact of our US Hometown Mission: Los Angeles has attracted the attention of other underrepresented and marginalized populations in America. Mending Kids will bring the US Hometown Mission program to 2-3 additional communities in the coming 12 months.
