Happy thanksgiving & saving zainabu

On Thanksgiving Day, Mending Kids gives thanks for the children we’ve had the blessing to mend and save. We ask that you remember us on this #GivingTuesday (Nov 27, 2018) and hope for your support so that we may continue to save children like Zainabu.

Mending Kids first met little Zainabu in the Fall of 2016 in Mwanza, Tanzania when her mother brought her to the Bugando Medical Center to have her colorectal condition repaired. Sadly, she was deemed too risky to operate on due to a serious undetected heart condition.

Through our efforts and with the help from one of our partner organizations, Zainabu received her life-saving heart surgery last October and then happily last week, her colorectal condition was repaired through Mending Kids Tanzania ARM Mission. She will be able to go to school in the Fall of 2019.

We have a proven track-record of changing and saving children’s lives’ but there’s still more work to be done.

$25  Will assist a child with post surgery medication.

$50  The cost of medical supplies for one surgery.

$100 Visa fees for one child to travel internationally for surgery and their immunization fees.

$200 Allowance for meals for parent and child for two weeks pre and post surgery.

$500 The cost of two club foot surgeries performed in-country.

$1000 Airfare for one surgeon to travel to Central America to provide surgery for one week.
